Jules turned and waited for Conner. She smiled at him and chuckled. "Guess you're my partner in crime now?" She walked with him.

"Yeah, I suppose so." Jules nodded and gave another smile, then her gaze turned serious as she wiped away her now dried tears. "We better hurry though. Who knows how long until Eli..." She trailed off, her voice breaking. She took a deep breath and took off in a run.

Conner nodded, running after her. While he was still angry at Eli, he didn't want him to die this way- or die at all really. Sure they had their disagreements but he couldn't just sit back and watch while he bled to death...

Please let us make it back in time... She thought silently as they raced towards the edge of town. She looked for the trash heaps and the house with the crack in the wall outside. Once she found it, she ran towards it and climbed up into the porch. She started knocking rapidly on the door.
