She caught it and glanced around at the others before opening it and peering into the can. She sniffed it before pulling it to her lips and taking a sip.

She swallowed it and thought for a moment. "It's really sweet. It's okay-" then her eyes widened and she scrunched up her nose. "Ugh it tastes bitter now!"

The bitterness went to sweet again then vanished. "It's an acquired taste." He smiled.

Eli shook his head as he joined the others at the table. That night had been the first time he slept for more than a hour at once in almost half a year so his lack of sleep was starting to effect him more

Conner took a sip after a moment of hesitation. "Well that's pretty g- what the fuck." He stuck his tongue out, wrinkling his nose in distaste. "You lied to me, Jules." He said with mock hurt.

She laughed, grinning and thinking of how cute he looked with his nose scrunched up. "Hey, I only speak the truth." She reached up and patted his cheek. "But I'm sorry, Conner." She teased.

She chuckled, her cheeks turning a bit red. "How can I make it up to you, then?" She nibbled on a piece of bacon.
