Time Unbroken! (closed rp)

"Well...shouldn't he know the truth? I would want to know." She told Zoul, glancing at Conner briefly before glancing back, leaning up against a nearly crumbling pillar.

"If I told him, he'd break away from everything. He hates Mechs with everything he has. He'd abandon his work, Brandon, all his friends, he'd probably go to the outlands." Zoul said.

Annis felt a little bit uncomfortable with the conversation at hand. Partially because it was about their friend, who had died horribly, but was now somehow here, with no memory of them, and partially because of all the talk of programming people. Well, people that weren't really people. It was all very confusing, and she found it hard to wrap her head around. Pressing then palm of her hand to her forehead, she surprised an oncoming headache.

"Well..." Conner was once again at a loss for words. That was, frustratingly enough, becoming a reoccurring theme as of late. "Shit." He kicked a pebble away from the group, shoving his hands into his pockets. "For once, I'd like things to just be simple. I just want more than two hours of sleep at least. I don't think that's too much to ask for when we're constantly dealing with this bullshit."

Eli listened and then said, "Griffin found out part of the truth before he died... or shut down. Umm... Zoul could I talk to you for a minute alone?"

This was so much more complicated than Jules had anticipated. Oh why did it have to be so complicated? She turned away as Eli went to talk to Zoul, picking up her spear from where it had been resting against the wall. She inspected the tip to make sure it was still sharp.

(What I passed was inspection for the Xtreme Bots competition in Ohio. I've been on a team in my engineering vocational that designed and built a battlebot from scratch with materials we could find. We passed inspection to get into the event but failed at making it into the tournament bracket after that because my team lost in the placement rounds due to my team's driver completely failing in the first round and tearing up our drive train. I took over from there and lost in our second placement because the robot's left wheel stopped working and the third round I almost had our team win however just before the end of the round our robot got flipped on it's side and we were forced to tap out)

"Sure thing." He nodded. Zoul followed Eli.

Dag and Fang came walking back. "Hey, we got you all some clean water." She said.

(Awe, I'm sorry to hear that.)

Jules looked up. "Tria should get some first ." she told them.

"Of course." Fang said bringing the massive container over to her. He took a bowl and dunked it into the water before handing it to Tria. "Drink." He said.

Tria took the water drinking.

After he knew that the others were too far away to hear he turned back to Zoul and asked, "So what was that about him shutting down? Are you saying there's a possibility of rebooting him? Where I come from our technology is nowhere near as advanced but I had enough skill to hack into government computers. If you're right about him just shutting down do you think that if we were to work together that we could get him up and running? Also um... do you think we could maybe erase his memory of finding out what he is. I think he might not have tried to pull through because of it." After stopping for a moment he said, "Sorry for asking this all at once and not letting you have a chance to answer"

(The bad thing is that I think if I had been driving from the beginning the drive train wouldnt have been wrecked and we mightve made it into the tournament bracket)

"First: When I say shutting down yes, it's just like a reboot. His body is a mix between a man and an computer. He can get viruses like both man and computer, however if it's a computer like viruse, and if it starts to corrupt him then the human part starts to fight. It starts to clean the body, but all other programs must be stopped in order to complete the detection and wipe the body of the virus." He said. "As for rebooting him it depends on if it he actually died, or if he went into Emergency shut down mode." he said. "Tell me how did he die." He said.

"I'll tell you what I know but I'm not exactly sure what happened." Eli stopped for a moment and tried to remember everything. Then he said, "We went to a new time period none of us had been to before. I think it was in the future, I mean even further ahead than this time. From the little bit I was able to see there was no sign of life until a weird looking fur covered snake-like thing showed up and bit Griffin. It was after we managed to get it off him that he started acting weird and seemed to lose strength. The thing is, I'm not convinced the snake-like thing was actually alive. It could have been an advanced robot or something used to check the surface of the planet from a bunker or something underground. Oh and by the way the world at that time was covered in ice and snow."

"Very interesting..." he said. "Tell me, the process of Griffin dying. If it doesn't hurt too much." Zoul stood there in thought.

"Well he started getting weaker almost instantly but nothing physically seemed to be the matter with him at first. He slowly became weaker and weaker to the point he had trouble getting up but he refused any help through it all and I never once heard him say anything about being in pain. Just before we landed in this time he stopped moving and breathing completely from what I could see in the few moments we had before getting out. While I didn't notice much during the time he was ill and I can't remember much about the symptoms one thing I did notice was that he grew increasingly distant over time and he stopped talking to me almost altogether a day before he we arrived even though we talked about everything." Eli replied

(I made a lot of that up as I went because I couldn't remember lol)

Jules waited, making sure everyone else got some before she went forward and got herself some water.

(That is actually pretty accurate. He started to cough up white powder.)

"Uhm...." Fang said. "To me it sounds like he actually started to die. I don't know of an electrical virus that would cause is actual body to deplete itself and become weak." He said.

"I wonder where Griffin is..." Altria said.

"He's probably making sure he's getting only the finest food for you guys. He seems to really care for you all." Dagger smiled.

"really?" She questioned.

(How are we gonna progress the plot?)

Conner stood with his hands in his pockets as he watched everyone else in the group. "We don't need the finest." He sighed, not necessarily directed at anyone in particular. "Just some food in general might be nice... Or being able to leave this time." The desire to fix the time they were in never really hit him as he assumed it might have hit everyone else. He just wanted out.

Jules glanced up at Conner, feeling a small twinge in her chest at the slight miserable look on his face. Wanting to cheer him up, she leaned against him, teasingly almost putting her whole weight on him. "I don't know about you, but I could really go for some Chinese right now."
